Little man was in desperate need of some fresh air and a good old fashion run about this morning, so off we went to the local country park with his new bike and the dog too see wot we could find.
The weather was bright, dry and cold (my perfect winters day.) It was quite busy with children playing in the play area, bird watchers, dog walkers and families generally making the most of the weather.
We made our way up one of the many footpaths to see where it would take us…
Little man loved his bike, I was a little concerned with the nosie it makes and worried we were disturbing others on there peaceful Sundays walks.
We did full circle on the footpath and ended up where we started. We then headed in the direction of the marshes which has a great educational trail to follow.
Learning about different rock types, plants, wildlife and there habitat. When little man is a bit older its a great place for him to learn while having fun.
We was not out long, but enough to feel the benefit of the fresh air.
Once we got home it was Sunday afternoon family film time with a hot cup of coco :0)
Morning my lovelys
I have been thinking for a while now that i would like to take my blog to a more personal level. As you are all aware i love to craft and fit this around my family and work life ( which is soon to be growing.) I have decided to add parts of my family life to the blog, what me and little man get up too, life with a new baby and how i will still fit my love for crafting in.
I hope that you all like the direction that this blog will take and continue on my journey with me.
I try and get my little man involved in all types of crafts. Sometimes they keep him occupied for some time, others only 5 mins. I thought that I would do a quick post of what we have been upto today.
1st we decorated gingerbread men. He really enjoyed doing these, he made one for himself and one for Daddy (as he had to go into work today).
He enjoyed eating it the most ;0)
Little man then wanted to make daddy a picture to go with his gingerbread so all the art and craft things came out and a great big lovely mess was created.
We have had a funfilled crafty morning :0) and now snuggled on the sofa watching a boxing day movie.
Have a great day lovelys :0)
So as promised I am posting a tutorial of how too make a simple felt flower. These are really quick, cute and simple and can be used for loads of craft projects.
First of all you will need
*flower template (mine is from hobbycraft)
Line your template up and pin to the felt. Remember you we need to get at least 6 flower shapes from your piece of felt.
Cut out the flower template shape from the felt.
You will need to do this at least 6 times, depending on how full you would like the finished flower to look.
Once you have the required amount of flowers you would like take the 1st flower felt piece and put a tiny dab of hot glue in the center and fold in half, pressing down firmly. Then put another tiny dab in the centre of the folded half and fold again to make a petal.
Repeat these process with all the felt pieces you have cut out.
Out of some of the left over felt cut a small circle that will be used as the base for the flower. Put a large dab of glue in the center of the circle and place the “petals” with the point inwards. 4 will make a good base, then place another 2 on top. The flower will look nice a full by this stage.
Take the button and glue in the centre of the flower to finish it off.
These little flowers can now be used in all different types of craft projects. I will be attaching mine to a babies headband.
Hope you enjoyed :0)
We have decided to run a giveaway to get us back into the swing of things ready for the new year. Keep your eyes peeled tomorrow for all details x
My blog has taken a back seat for far too long, and too be totally honest so has the crafting.
In august we found out that our little family was growing by one :0) so along with looking after my little man I struggled with early pregnancy. As the weeks went on I just lost my grove.
I am please to say that over the last few weeks I have got the craft stuff back out (thanks to Xmas) and got my mojo back.
I have just finished making a couple of tea cup candles for little man’s teachers Xmas gifts..
And a few weeks ago made some lovely little felt flowers for hair bands, for a special little girl.
Thinking of doing a tutorial for the flower, they were so easy to make and I think they look gorgeous, I already have a tutorial for the candles :0)
I will try not to leave it so long next time ;0)
